Racism

After reading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou, I did more research on racism. It was sad to find out that back in the years, racism was very popular in many parts around the world. Whites and blacks were divided into two different groups since it was said that blacks were of a lower social class. They were even threated as slaves and did not have any rights at all. This went on for years and it seemed like it was something very popular. Blacks weren't even allowed to live in the same place as whites did. They had mo education as well, and were forced to work hard for others. As years have gone by, blacks started protesting and had rights. They were no longer allowed to be slaves of others. Now on days, slavery is no longer allowed in many states. No one can be forced to be slaves now. Although blacks were not the only ones who were threated bad and had no rights, they were sure one of the biggest groups who suffered from racism.

  1. Its so crazy to think that times were like that! Now nobody cares at all about how people look, everyone is equal and that's how it should be.
